About this course

Speaker: Alparslan Avci Topic: Standardize Caching in Java: JCache Abstract: The JCache is the new standardized Java caching layer API which is specified by the Java Community Process (JCP) as Java Specification Request (JSR) 107. It provides a common way for applications to use and adopt caching thus allowing developers to focus on application development and avoid the burden of implementing caches themselves. In this presentation, we will give an overview of the API itself at a glance and see what JCache brings us. Also some tips will be shared for developers which will use JCache in their applications. Lastly, a simple demo will be run to make the audience understand JCache better by using a vendor implementation of the API.
